How the Raffle Works
Participants may purchase 50/50 raffle tickets online through the official raffle platform. Each ticket purchased represents one entry into the draw. The raffle is conducted entirely online by The Fur-Bearers in accordance with Ontario lottery licensing requirements.

Ticket Sales
Tickets will be sold exclusively online during the raffle period, from June 30, 2026 at 9:00 AM ET to July 30, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET. The price and available ticket bundles will be clearly displayed on the ticket purchase page. After purchasing a ticket, participants will receive a confirmation email that includes their ticket number(s).

Prize
This is a 50/50 raffle. The winner will receive 50% of the total ticket sales, and the remaining 50% will support The Fur-Bearers’ educational work focused on wildlife coexistence and public awareness.

Draw
The winning ticket will be selected through a random draw on July 30, 2026 at 4:00 PM ET. The draw will take place at Jordan’s Homeside Pub, 1521 Main St E, Hamilton, Ontario L8K 1E4. The draw will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner and will be streamed live on The Fur-Bearers’ Facebook page at www.facebook.com/furfree.

If the Draw Cannot Proceed as Planned
If the raffle cannot proceed as planned due to unforeseen circumstances, The Fur-Bearers will work with the licensing authority to determine the appropriate next steps in accordance with the terms of the licence.

Unclaimed Prizes
If the winner does not come forward, The Fur-Bearers will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner using the information provided at the time of ticket purchase. If the prize remains unclaimed, the organization will follow the procedures set out in Ontario’s Lottery Licensing Policy Manual (5.17.1. Unclaimed Raffle Prizes), including holding the prize in trust for at least six months from the date of the draw. If the prize remains unclaimed after that time, it will be added back to the proceeds of the raffle in accordance with provincial regulations.
